# a=i comparisons

A popup recently came to my attention while trying to access the Samsung - based browser. "By continuing, you agree to our updated Privacy Notice".
Most of the terms and conditions I encounter in Samsung devices rarely (if ever) assist to differentiate between previous and current iterations. And so I thought, "Hey, we're in the age of AI. Why not pass this to an AI to help find the introductions".
Which I did. To 5 of them.

***intro***

Samsung's Screenshot has this nifty tool that allows you to take a screenshot of a page that flows past the screen's height dimension;

With it, I generated two screenshots of ~18,800 pixels in height.

And tried to get them into the currently popular AI chat apps;

### ***Gemini***

I already had this installed. And so upload was the immediate next step, to which the response was as snapshotted below;

I'll target my observations towards two categories;
1\. Chat App - there is a need to be specific when selecting the option to use for uploading the files. Otherwise we see hallucination rearing its head.

On choosing the "Files" upload option, the results are more in line with what is expected. Bringing us to the contents;

2\. AI: The results shared do not seem to be as accurate when compared to one other AI that will be shortly shared, with an additional prompt needed to dive further into the specific data retrieval section of concern.

### ***Claude***

Claude (Anthropic) has been touted to have the best AI (disclaimer: this is hearsay on my part). Unfortunately, I'm not able to *taste* that here as both options for file upload (Photos and Files) likely apply compression, leading to the response shared above.

### ***Cha****tGPT*

A similar experience is had for ChatGPT, with both upload options applying compression to the files, resulting in a request for additional clarity.

### ***GrokAI***

GrokAI's chat app had a few interesting quirks;

* The landing page straight away asks whether I would like to sign up for a paid version.

* I can't begin to guess why this is needed. Perhaps it warrants a side-quest to see what's available to the different age categories as dictated by society.

* Once I'm in, there is another request to send notifications that I find quite odd. For a chat app, what possible scenarios require it to initiate notifications?

* I finally get to the point of asking what I want to ask. Only to see a web search being conducted. I think this was the highlight of the comparison for me.

* Otherwise, GrokAI (and the chat app it sits in) is similar to the previous instances, guessing at what the upload may contain, mostly because of a choice on how to handle uploads of the stated magnitude.

### ***DeepSeek***

Right off the bat, showing OCR tells me the app is likely ready for whichever outlandish type of upload I'm looking to try.

There were a couple of other screenshots I wanted to gash about, but this article has quite the number of pixels to it already (height-wise at least). Suffice to say, DeepSeek was the winner of this impromptu contest.

***PS:*** As to what was the difference between the two Privacy Notices, I leave that to my dear readers' imagination / curiosity.
